Diane Stevenson has been coaching the girl’s Coliseum 2010 team since 2017 and the girl’s 2012 team since 2019.  She has also coached in a number of soccer camps and contributed to the Little Kicker’s program with the club.  Her coaching career began in 2011 at Rome Free Academy, where she served as the modified girl’s track coach for 6 years, before moving up to the girl’s varsity assistant role in 2017. She is currently still coaching in that role. In 2020, she became the girl’s soccer varsity assistant coach at RFA, where she continues to serve. 

As an athlete, Stevenson excelled.  She was a standout for Oriskany Central School, where she was a 3 year starter, earning multiple league and county all-star awards, and team MVP.  She then moved on to Houghton College where she played three sports, competing in soccer, indoor track, and outdoor track.  She was a 3-year starter for the Highlander soccer team, who were 3 time conference champions, 2001 NAIA regional champions, and compiled a 4 year record of 68-8-6. During her career at Houghton, the Highlanders were nationally ranked in the top 25 three times, peaking at 8th in 2003. They made 2 NAIA National Tournament appearances. They were also 4 time recipients of the NSCAA Team Academic Award and NSCAA Team Ethics Award. In addition to soccer, she held school records in the 800m and 4×800 for indoor track and for the 4×800 and 15k in outdoor track.  She continues to be an avid runner, and has run numerous marathons, including the Boston Marathon.

Today, Stevenson lives in New Hartford with her husband, Tyler–also a coach for Coliseum–and their three children, all of whom are active Coliseum players.
