Dominica Paladino

A native of the Mohawk Valley, Dominica was a standout player for Utica Notre Dame, where she was named TVL Player of the Year and New York State High School Class C Player of the Year in 2001.  At Notre Dame she set a Tri-Valley League scoring record with 60 goals and was named to the All Section III First Team and All-Central New York team on three occasions from 1998 to 2001. At the club level, she has played for the local Coliseum Soccer Club as well as the Rochester Rhinos and the Syracuse Blitz. She was inducted into the Notre Dame High School Brother More C.F.X Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.

Dominica went to earn a scholarship at Saint John’s University in Jamaica, NY where she was the team’s leading scorer in 2002 and led the squad with six game-winning goals. She was named Big East Player of the Week for October 21, 2002.  She earned Big East All-Conference Honors, was named to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District I First Team and was a four-time Big East Academic All-Star. She earned Academic All-American honors and ended her career in the school’s top 5 for career points.

She spent one season as an assistant coach with Herkimer County Community College, winning the Mountain Valley Conference Championship in 2006. She returned to Notre Dame in 2007 and led the Lady Jugglers to three consecutive Section III Tournament appearances, winning the school’s first championship in 2008 and returning to the Championship Game in 2009.

Dominica now resides in nearby New Hartford. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Saint John’s University and a Master of Science from SUNY Polytechnic. She is a board member of the local Coliseum Soccer Club and has coached club soccer for more than 10 years.
